After a brief introduction (pp.1-6), in chapter 2 the theory of hegemonial and non-hegemonial international regimes is discussed (pp.7-100), in chapter 3 it is applied in an empirical analysis of the world communication order (pp. 101-191), and in chapter 4 the results are summarised (pp. 192-203).
